- The Kontinentals
The Kontinentals was predominantly a KGV band of talented musical students that started performing whilst they were at school in the early 1960’s. They continued to play professionally after school and were a musical phenomenon in Hong Kong with a large fan base. They produced several hit singles that reached the top of the charts in Hong Kong and played with such famous visiting groups as The Kinks, Manfred Mann and The Supremes. They broke up in 1966 when Anders Nelson returned to Sweden for compulsory military service.
A year ago, the Kontinentals staged a reunion in Vancouver at a dinner dance. Dave Christian, the bass guitar and singer has put together a web site featuring some of the clips from that evening. He has also produced a DVD of the performance with full soundtrack that is available for sale via the website.
