The Hong Kong movie ‘Echoes of the Rainbow’, winning an award in the renowned Berlin International Film Festival, has KGV in it!

 

The movie portrayed Hong Kong in the 60’s. It was about a family of lower class. The son managed to get into Diocesan Boys’ School and was excellent in sports. He participated in an interschool athletics meet, which included KGV! One could see the KGV flag and a KGV uniform, which his competitor was wearing. The school has lent old photos to the Film Production Company to assist them in reproducing the KGV necessities.

 

The picture won the Crystal Bear Award in the Berlin Film Festival, which was a the festival's top accolade for youth-themed films. You can see more about the movie here, or catch it in the theatre!
